Thee North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is administering the PreACT assessment to all eligible 10th grade students. ALL WECHS sophomores will take the PreACT on Friday, October 27, 2017. There is no fee to take the test.
Since ACT allows (but not requires) calculators, students who have calculators should bring them to the testing room. ACT does not permit students to have phones on their person during the test administration.
The PreACT assessment includes a pretest portion that will not be available to students through the state test administration. Parents and students can voluntarily access and complete the information that is included in this pretest portion and create an ACT profile at the following website:
If you have questions or concerns about the PreACT, please contact Robin McAlexander at firstname.lastname@example.org.
