School psychologists are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students' ability to learn and teachers' ability to teach. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help children succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.
At HARES, the school psychologist works directly with students, provides educational assessments, leads individual and group skills development sessions, and helps students develop positive self-concepts by linking efforts to achievements. The school psychologist consults and collaborates with school staff and parents to provide support on school intervention and leadership teams, analyzing and explaining educational data, developing classroom accommodations and modifications, and meeting with parents. The school psychologist supports academic achievement, positive behavior, and mental wellness of all HARES students.
