Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) Update:
SSA is the practice of placing a student in a higher-grade level in one subject area. The purpose is to provide students with access to appropriately challenging learning opportunities in either math or English Language Arts.
The SSA Test Request Window is February 22 - March 22.
All Test Request forms are due by 4:00 p.m. on March 22.
A parent may nominate a child for only one area, either English Language Arts (ELA) or math.
Please go to the below link and read all the information to make sure your child is a good candidate for SSA.
4th/5th Grade AIG Portfolio Process Update:
The nomination window for the 4th/5th grade AIG Portfolio Process is Monday, March 1st - Friday, March 5th. All nominations are due by 4:00 p.m. on March 5th.
We will be accepting nominations beginning on Monday, March 1st.
Please go to the following link to complete and submit a nomination.
Please note that a nomination does not guarantee that a student will be referred for the portfolio process.
The School Based Committee for Gifted Education (SBCGE) determines if a student goes through the portfolio process.
