I believe each child can develop their own style of learning that fits them.  For our students, it is not about fitting inside a box but working around the box to make it fit for you.  I try to incorporate all different styles of learning and thinking that will work best for each student.  I believe that the possibilities are endless for each student and when given the tools, students are capable of anything.

Every child can learn when they are given what they need to be successful. There are different ways to meet the same goal. Obstacles help students and teachers grow. The best learning takes place once a solid relationship is built then mindful teaching, evidence-based interventions, and teaching with fidelity should follow.  Additionally, kids do well if they can.  Challenging behavior occurs when the demands and expectations being placed upon a child outstrip the skills he/she has to respond adaptively.  Proactive support far exceeds the reactive approach in terms of sustained success in dealing with academic and behavioral challenges.  Practice empathy daily with patience and persistence!
