The AHS English department consists of highly qualified teachers dedicated to serving every student at Apex High School by equipping them with 21st-century skills that will assist them in navigating post-secondary life, wherever that path may lead them. 

Courses Required for Graduation:

• English I (academic, honors, or sheltered)

• English II (academic, honors, or sheltered)

• English III (academic, honors, or sheltered) and/or AP Language and Composition

• English IV (academic, honors) and/or AP Literature and Composition

Elective courses presently taught by the English Department include:

• Speech II

• Yearbook I, II, and III

Course offerings may change each year based on student demand and availability of staff.
