Career & College Promise (CCP)
www.waketech.edu/career-and-college-promise
The (CCP) program offers eligible (see below) high school students the opportunity to earn credits toward a college degree or a credential for employment – tuition-free while enrolled in high school.
In many cases, students earn dual credit, earning both high school and college credits.
Students can explore more than 40 academic programs, saving them and their families money on college tuition while also lightening their future course load in college. Students get a feel of the "college experience," and they can boost their admissions profile by demonstrating they are ready for the rigor of college-level classes.
For students not interested in pursuing a college degree, CCP provides a jump-start to career plans, job training, skills and certifications through various CTE pathways.
Learn more by eligibility, what pathway to choose, and how to enroll by viewing the links and information below.
FAQs can be found at the bottom of this page.
Please reach out to Mrs. Montgomery, Dean of Students, or your counselor, if you have any questions.

College Transfer (CT)
CT pathways are designed for high school students who wish to begin earning college credit toward an Associate in Arts, Associate in Engineering, Associate in Science or Associate in Fine Arts degree, which are intended for eventual transfer to a four-year college or university. The pathways include courses prescribed in the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferring credits from North Carolina community colleges to UNC System institutions.
Career & Technical Education (CTE)
CTE pathways lead to a certificate or diploma aligned with a high school career cluster. They are designed for students who want to work toward completing a credential before graduating high school. Wake Tech offers over 40 CTE pathway options.
Unsure which pathway is right for you? Career Services at Wake Tech offers Pathway Exploration sessions and drop-in labs to explore pathways and find one that best fits your interests and goals.
Still unsure? See Mrs. Montgomery in Student Services.
