All Future Willow Spring High Families:

Welcome to a Storm of Care!

I’m so excited to be with you as WCPSS begins to open its newest high school.  It will be the 19th high school program in a new building during the last 19 years. It is reasonable for you to be anxious now about attending a new school next year. This feeling will become unparalleled excitement and joy in the month of August.  We’ve got this.

Our students will be the first of many firsts.  The first victory at a football game.  The first pep rally.  The first play.  The first concert. The first prom.  The first induction into the National Honor Society.  You get the point.

Beginning on August 23, 2021, though students are officially freshmen and sophomores, they will be the “juniors and seniors” of a new high school and will remain the leaders for three years until we have our first graduation ceremony for the Class of ‘24 in June, 2024.

All of the information we have for now is on our website. Most of your questions can be answered by viewing our webpage at https://www.wcpss.net/willowspringhs.  See the FAQ and the quick link to registration for course offerings and descriptions. The registration period begins February 26 at your current school.

Your current school will provide our future students guidance about course registration for next year, and students will register for courses at their current  school.  On February 23 at 7PM, our introductory video and Curriculum Night information will be posted on the school website. In addition to our Curriculum Night information, students are encouraged to participate in the Curriculum Night and Open House for their current school assignment.

Don’t hesitate to contact me at jwilliams10@wcpss.netI’m the only person working for opening the school now, but I’ll provide as much help as possible.

I look forward to being a part of your journey at WSHS.  I live in the Willow Spring High attendance district and commit my time, dedication, heart, and energy to make it a great experience for you.

Take care of yourself, each other, your school, and your community.

    John Williams

    Interim Principal
