I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. I attended Peace College, where I received my undergraduate degree. In 2004 I began teaching. I have taught third and fourth grade. I joined the Apex Elementary family in 2016. I taught third grade for two years at AES before taking the school library media coordinator position. In December 2020, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with my master's degree in library science.

My husband, two daughters (also AES Cougars), and I live on a mini farm with a bunch of animals. When not tending to the animals, we enjoy being outdoors and exploring. I love to be creative with crafts, painting, and drawing.

Working with students, families, and staff at AES has been an amazing and fulfilling journey. I look forward to another incredible year!
