I have been at Ballentine since it opened in 2002.  I was a 4th grade teacher the first year and then switched to the role of Media Specialist.   I graduated from ECU with a Masters in Library Science in 2007.  I'm the administrator of the library media program as well as the tech contact for the school.   I also teach in the library during extension time so that teachers can have common planning.   

Before Ballentine,  I was at Northwoods Elementary in school in Cary, NC and started teaching their in 1997.   I have a daughter who is 10 years old who is my inspiration for what I do in the library.  She is a Fifth Grader here on Track 4.  My husband is Lead Counselor at Active Tracks Camp, which is a Track out camp in Holly Springs.   Our family has a rescued dog named Patch and Miss Kitty our rescued cat.
