Originally from Los Angeles, Ca., Mr. Harris grew up in Brevard, NC where he graduated from Brevard High School. He attended Montreat College on an athletic scholarship, where he received a bachelor's degree in English, with a concentration in literature. Mr. Harris began as a teacher at Mary E. Phillips High School, where he also served an instructional coach.  Mr. Harris previously served as an assistant principal at Wakefield High School, as well as Longview School prior to that.  He has advanced degrees from NC State University, Go Pack! and NC Central University, Fly Eagles Fly!
