Mr. Isenberg

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Isenberg

About Mr. Isenberg: My name is David Isenberg and I am your latest fifth grade teacher, moving up from fourth grade. It has been a wonderful return to Hilburn, and I am excited to be teaching Language Arts this year. I am a proud graduate of N.C. State University, where I earned my B.A. in English. I entered teaching a few years later and attended Campbell University for my master’s degree in Elementary Education. My wife and I are thrilled to have our two daughters joining me at Hilburn for the very first time. When I’m out of the classroom, I enjoy traveling to the N.C. mountains in search of waterfalls and hiking trails. I also enjoy exploring parts of the Mountains to Sea trail here locally, backing the Pack, and doing home improvements.

Alumni: North Carolina State University for undergrad; Campbell University for Master's

Favorite Children's Book: Most of Andre Clements' books do the trick. Love reading "The Janitor's Boy" and "About Average"

Favorite Quote: "The reward of a thing well done is to have done it." --Emerson
