Mrs. Shejuanna Jacobs
Shejuanna Jacobs is humbled and privileged to serve as the inaugural principal of Apex Friendship Middle School. She is inspired by the words of Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Throughout her 28 years in public education, she has sought to embody this precept in her daily work.
During her time in the Wake County Public School System, Ms. Rodgers has been a teacher and assistant principal, and has led Rolesville Elementary School and Dillard Drive Middle School as principal. She excels at cultivating relationships, and uses humor and teamwork to support colleagues in leveraging the power of education to facilitate social change.
When Ms. Jacobs is not collaborating with the school community to promote a culture of learning for students and teachers, she invests her time in activities that develop her as a person. She is energized by interacting with people, and loves to spend time with her family and friends. Ms. Jacobs is a voracious reader who enjoys reflecting on books she has read with her book club. She also takes advantage of opportunities to explore new places through travel.
Ms. Jacobs is excited to meet the students and families of Apex Friendship Middle School and to lead the charge for Excellence In ALL We DO!
