Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Lueginia Little. I’m from the small town of Morven, NC. I am a science teacher at Mary E. Phillips High School. Courses I’ve taught included Intro to the Principles of Biology, Biology, Honors Biology, and Earth Science. This is my 3rd year teaching at MEPHS. I received my Bachelor of Science in Science Education with a concentration in Biology from Western Carolina University. I started my teaching career as a student teacher at Cherokee High School in Cherokee, NC while attending WCU. Teaching is a rewarding experience. I chose teaching because I have a passion to change lives and help our youth. As a science teacher, I believe it is my job to challenge and support my students while learning basic biological principles, promoting an interest in science, and understanding how we do science. I believe all students have the ability to learn and should have fun while doing it. Hard work and dedication are 2 important keys to success in the classroom. When I’m not teaching I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with my amazing husband Tadrick and our Jack Russell Pharaoh.
