"The mission of Fuquay-Varina High School
is to foster student learning where success is the only option."

  •    Welcome to Fuquay-Varina High School, a traditional Wake County high school. We work closely with our community to ensure the success of all students. Our teachers are leaders in their respective fields and model very high expectations for all of our students.

Fuquay-Varina is rapidly growing at a rate of about 5.6 percent a year, almost double Wake County's growth rate. To date, our town has approximately 17,000 residents, with approximately 2,250 students attending our high school.

Our school is supported by numerous community resources. The Fuquay-Varina Business Alliance and Fuquay-Varina Education Council were established to increase awareness of career choices among students and to advocate for educational needs here in our community. To date we have eight businesses serving on the Business Alliance Board as well as Wake Technical Community College and the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce. The school is also involved with twelve community groups and ten civic organizations.

As a learning community, we have always been proud of our accomplishments. Academic success is evident at Fuquay-Varina High School. We have been named a NC School of Distinction and School of High Growth. Please visit our school profile and performance results at the NCSCHOOL Report Cards on the Department of Public Instruction website: www.ncreportcards.org

Over the past four years, 87% of our students pursued community college and university education after graduation. Recent graduates were awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships with approximately $25,000 in contributions coming from our very own community organizations. In addition, many of our students enlist in the Armed Forces after high school graduation.
