I am so excited to be at Oakview Elementary School!

 

I was born in Syracuse, New York and lived in Owensboro, Kentucky during my elementary school years. My family moved to Raleigh after my fifth grade year. I attended Daniels Middle School, now Oberlin Middle School, and graduated from Broughton High School. I received my bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of West Florida.  I later earned a master's degree in Health Education from East Carolina University. I have taught in Wake County for 26 years.

 

When I am not at school, I love the sun on a beach and the cool air of the mountains. I enjoy cycling, gardening, a great cup of coffee and reading a good book.  My husband and I have 3 sons.  Our oldest just graduated from NC State, GO PACK!  Our middle child is a junior at UNC, we still love him though, and our youngest is a senior at Apex High School.
