My name is Jennifer Fruend, and I am the music teacher at Ballentine.  This year will begin my 20th year as an elementary music teacher, and my fourth year at Ballentine.  I received my B.S. in Music Education from Missouri State University.  I play the flute, and in college I had many great musical experiences.  Our marching band performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York, and we also marched at the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. It is really important to me to give my students opportunities to learn and explore in fun ways so they will grow to love music as much as I do.

My family lives in Fuquay-Varina, and I love teaching in my community!  My husband Andrew and I have one daughter named Amelia, who will be in 5th grade at Ballentine Elementary.  We have three very loved dogs named Onyx, Sally and Lucy.  I enjoy spending time with my family, and I love to sew.  My husband and I enjoy watching football together- Go Chiefs!   I look forward to having a great year in music with your students!!!
