The 2015-16 school year was another solid, strong year for us with regards to proficiency scores in math and reading and we maintained our position amongst the top proficiency schools in the county. We were also very pleased with the results of the Teacher Working Conditions survey that the Department of Public Instruction administers every two years. Jones Dairy results on the survey areas were consistently a higher (percentage of favorable responses) when compared to the rest of Wake County Public School System as well as other schools throughout the state. Results can be viewed at www.ncteachingconditions.org
It is very important that each and every child under our care prospers both intellectually and socially. To maximize this effort requires a team approach between home and school. In most instances, your child’s teacher will be the best person for you to turn to when you have a question or concern. That said, please do not hesitate to contact me if there is something that requires my attention or that I can be of assistance.
Thank you, and on behalf of the entire JDES community, let’s have a great school year!
