MSA’s National Merit Awards program honors the top magnet schools in the United States. This award recognizes the commitment to academic excellence, innovative curriculum, endeavors towards diversity and the consistent delivery of high quality educational services to all in the learning community.
Magnet School of Excellence Awards are given to only a select group of magnet schools that have demonstrated the highest level of excellence in all facets of the merit award application.
Global Studies: Students become global leaders who can change the world! Our learning community learns across all content areas through the lens of cultural awareness and a global perspective.
World Languages: All students have the opportunity to study the culture and history of French or Spanish-speaking countries around the world! Non-immersion students choose to study either French or Spanish on an alternating daily schedule for 90 minutes a week on average.
Spanish Immersion: Join the journey to become bilingual and biliterate! Our Spanish Immersion program is offered to a cohort of students. All core instruction in literacy, math, science and social studies is provided in Spanish. Students learn to listen, read, write, and speak fluently in Español.
