What is a blended track? How does it work when students are tracked out?
A blended track is when two tracks are combined receiving the same type of educational experiences, instructions, and learning engagements.
Students who are on Track 2 will follow the Track 2 county-wide schedule. Students who are on Track 3, will follow Track 3 county-wide schedule.
No learning will be lost when students are tracked out. The regular teacher will still be present and teach while Track 2 students are tracked out and Track 3 students are in and vice versa.
For example, during the three weeks that Track 3 students are out, the Track 2 students and the teacher will continue with the lessons. When Track 2 students track out, Track 3 students will receive the same lessons that Track 2 did. As a result, no learning is lost.
When both tracks are in, then the new lessons will begin.
When students are tracked out, teachers will not give any homework. Projects may be given for students to work on during their track-out, but teachers may not respond to track-out students.
