Early Release THIS THURSDAY!

All Wake County School will have early release days this year to support teachers with their required professional development centered around reading. Breakfast and lunch will be served on early release days.

** 2 hour early release will begin at 1:45 for both carpool and buses. **

Lost & Found

We have a large collection of Lost & Found Items that we are hoping can find their rightful owners.   The lost and found has been moved to the hallway outside of the gym so that students are easily able to identify items, and so that parents can take a look during meet the teacher.  We will be donating the items in lost and found on August 1st.  Please encourage your children to look for any items you know are missing.

This year Adams Elementary is fortunate to have  a full time social worker on staff to support students and families.   Please complete the survey below if you would like her to provide you with  additional information related to a number of different community resources.  All  requests will remain confidential.

The Adams Elementary PTA provides our school with a number of resources that directly impact students and teachers.   The PTA provided teacher grants, supports after school clubs, and has helped transform a number of spaces including the Dream Lab, Music room, and Art room.   Please consider joining the PTA at  MemberHub

 

GO, PLAY, SAVE

The GoPlaySave Fundraiser is officially underway, and it's super simple.   These coupon books are available in book form or in a mobile APP version.   Adams PTA receives a large portion of the sales from every book.  This fundraiser helps support after school club materials, teacher grants, and many other programs that impact our school, students, and teachers.   

 

Transportation Information

There are many ways to stay updated on bus changes, delays, as well as arrival and departure times.   One way to keep updated is to follow our bus Twitter account.  @Adamsbusinfo   If you do not have a twitter account, don’t worry as you can view Twitter updates on the Adams homepage  www.wcpss.net/adamses.

You can also download the Here Comes the Bus App.  www.wcpss.net/herecomesthebus   You will need your child’s WCPSS ID number and the following district code: 67500.   This APP will allow you to follow where your child’s bus is along their route.

 

Parent Aviator Academy

Mark your calendars for this special opportunity to connect with your children's teachers and learn how you can support your child’s academic growth at home.    Families will leave with strategies and materials they can use at home!

K-5 Breakfast $1.50 and lunch $3.00

All students currently receive free school meals supported by federal funding due to the pandemic. This funding is set to end on June 30, 2022. In order to receive free or reduced-price meals for next school year, families need to submit a meal benefits application. 

Families can complete applications for the 2022-2023 school year now in order to receive benefits. Please allow 10 business days for processing. 

Families can add money to student accounts, monitor the balance, and apply for free or reduced-price meals by visiting www.MySchoolApps.com.

Salida temprana este jueves!

Todas las escuelas del condado de Wake County tendrán días de salida temprano para ayudar a los profesores a preparar mejor la materia de lectura.

** 2 horas temprano comenzará a la 1:45 para los autobuses y carro **

Cosas perdidas y encontradas

Tenemos una gran cantidad de objetos en el lugar de cosas perdidas y esperamos encontrar a sus dueños. Las cosas se han colocado en mesas afuera del gimnasio para que los estudiantes identifiquen sus pertenencias, y que los padres tengan la oportunidad de ver el día que vengan a conocer a la maestra. Lo que sobre se donará el 1 de agosto. Por favor digan a sus hijos que vengan a ver las mesas e identifiquen sus cosas perdidas.
