Growing and Glowing at Olds!
Hopefully this week everyone took some time to do things that brought them joy! Whether that was spending quality time with family, reading a new book, trying a new restaurant, going to the beach, or going for a walk (hopefully without much pollen), hopefully you enjoyed it. We cannot wait to hear about your spring break tomorrow when students return to school.
Cultural Celebration Night!
We are looking forward to our first ever Cultural Celebration Night held from 6pm - 7pm on Thursday, April 10th! Doors will open at 6pm for families to explore our Cultural Arts Show showcasing student artwork, learn through student research projects about countries around the world, and engage with community members about their cultural identity. Students will also have a chance to win a FREE Olds merch item! At 6:30, a student performance by first, third, and fifth grade students will take place in the gym. We hope to see you there! Watch this short video with an overview of what to expect.

Yearbook Pictures
The Olds PTA yearbook is in need of pictures! We’re filling out the pages from the first half of the school year and could use more pictures from all kinds of events: choir, fall festival, field trips, first day of school, spelling bee, and walk/roll to school. And keep those pictures from the rest of the year coming in, too! It helps if you put the event or grade in the email subject.
If you’ve been meaning to send pictures but haven’t yet, go ahead and email them to oldsptayearbook@gmail.com.
Book Giveaway
Heads up: Olds will be collecting books for a free summer book giveaway again this year at the end of May. There will be collection boxes at school the week before the event. We accept picture books through YA novels (no board books or workbooks). Contact Amy Weinberg (amy.weinbergnc@gmail.com) with questions or to arrange an early book drop off.
