The district will host the 42nd annual Pieces of Gold performance on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts.

This annual showcase marks the official kickoff to Arts in Our Schools Month, celebrating the transformative power of arts education in Wake County.

“With 667 dedicated arts educators leading programs in every school across the district, our district continues to set the standard for excellence in Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts education,”  said Superintendent Robert P. Taylor. “This annual event is a reflection of our strong commitment to ensuring that every student in every school has access to high-quality arts education.” 

This year’s event will feature more than 700 students from nearly 50 schools at every level, collaborating both onstage and behind the scenes to present dance, choral, orchestra, and musical theater performances.
