A big thanks to the PTA for providing us with an amazing lunch today!
Staff Spotlight
You can shout out your BES teachers and staff! Did your student have a great week? Did you see a teacher do something extraordinary? Did the school look especially clean? You will soon be able to recognize these teachers and staff - your shout out may be featured on our website or in the lobby!
If you would like to provide a staff shoutout, please click here or go to the school website.
Canned Food Drive
Briarcliff Student Council is hosting a canned food drive through the end of February. The food we collect will go to The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Did you know that they not only support families in need but also support disaster relief efforts in NC. Students may drop off non-perishable food items in the designated boxes in the main hallway.
Kindergarten Registration
It is hard to believe but we are already thinking about next year. It is time to register your Kindergartner for school. If they are turning 5 on or before August 31st please go ahead and get them registered. This helps us prepare for next year. We have information on our website or you can use this link.
Immunizations
When your child goes for a check up and gets new immunizations please drop a copy off to the front office so we can update their record.
NO Drop Off on Pond Street
Thank you to parents who have seen my email and stopped dropping off on Pond Street. If you are still dropping off here, even when you see staff, we are asking you to please STOP! There is only one place to drop off and pick up students. Please consider the message it sends to our students when the adults are not following procedures.
Lunch Applications
WCPSS Child Nutrition Services wants families to know that they can apply online to qualify for free and reduced-price school meals.
Families who have a student receiving meals benefits from the 2018-19 school year need to know that those benefits will expire soon.
Please find information that best describes your child’s school and you will find the date that benefits expired on October 8th. Families can reapply or apply for the first time. The process is easy. Applications can be completed online.
Families can go online to www.wcpss.net/meals to determine if their students qualify and to complete the online application. Families will find information about the application, frequently asked questions and the online application.
Families may also visit their school where paper applications will be available.
WCPSS Child Nutrition Services wants to make sure all qualified families enroll for free and reduced-price meals.
