Good evening, Cougar families,

Tonight, the WCPSS Board of Education named me Principal of Pleasant Plains Elementary School, a new multi-track, year-round school opening in Apex next school year. I will be transitioning from Principal of Apex Elementary to Principal of Pleasant Plains Elementary on January 2, 2025.

Becoming a part of the Apex Elementary family as Principal and working alongside all of you over the past five years has been the most rewarding experience of my professional career. I am incredibly grateful and proud to have worked with such an outstanding, dedicated, and caring school community that works tirelessly to ensure the success of each and every student.

In the coming weeks, our Area Superintendent, Mr. Jonathan Enns, will be sharing next steps regarding the selection of the next Principal at Apex Elementary. You can also expect that an interim Principal may be named to facilitate the selection process and ensure that things continue to run smoothly for your students and our staff.

Thank you for sharing your amazing children with me! It has been an honor to serve, love, and watch them succeed and grow. I know they will continue to thrive, not only due to their unique brilliance and strengths as students and your support as their parents but also because of the skilled teaching and guidance of the outstanding, caring, and dedicated educators at Apex Elementary School.
