Updates for this week
Positivity Focus for the Week: Gratitude (Continued)
PGES Book Fair: Thank you for your support for the Scholastic Book Fair. Your generosity was on full display with showing up for family events and sending in money for students to buy books. We hope that they will enjoy their selections.
Canned Food Drive: THANKS for GIVING! In this season of gratitude and giving, our Student Council is holding a Canned Food Drive that ends on Monday, November 20. Our canned goods will be donated to the Interfaith Food Shuttle of Wake County, which supplies food for the Backpack Buddy Program in the Wake County schools. Canned goods most in demand are fruits and vegetables (no heavy syrups or added salt), beans, tuna, and soup. Whole Grain Pasta and Rice are also needed.
The class with the MOST canned goods donated will receive an Ice Cream Party🎉. There is stiff competition right now for the lead. Thank you to our PGES PTA for their support in making this happen.
Thanks in advance for your donations. We are very grateful for our Flyer families!
Boosterthon: We met our school-wide goal of raising $16,000 during this dance-a-thon event. As a result, students were able to slime the principal. All students were able to view it while livestreamed to their classroom TVs. The top fundraiser was able to pour the slime, while the top fundraising class watched it live outside. Pictures will come soon in the next PTA newsletter.
