Pre-ACT Scores for Sophomores: 10th grade students received their Pre-ACT score report during SPARK today, along with this presentation. These students will take the ACT during the spring semester of junior year and we will hold an ACT Boot Camp in advance of the test. In addition, they will take the PSAT in April of this year and again next year as juniors.

Toiletries Drive: The Chick Fil A Leader Academy group will be hosting a toiletries drive in February. We will be partnering with the No Women No Girl Non Profit organization to collect needed items to assist families who are homeless or in transition. The organization's mission is that No woman and no girl will go without access to everyday essentials to survive crisis or transition. Their vision is to provide hope, education and essentials to women and girls, regardless of the circumstances of life. During the month of February we will be collecting the following items: Shampoo, Conditioner, Body wash, Soap, Hand lotion, Hand sanitizer, Washcloths, Pads, Tampons, Feminine Hygiene Wipes, Floss, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes. In March we will have our second community service opportunity on a Saturday in March (date TBA) as we donate the items to No Woman No Girl in recognition of Women’s Month. 

Counselor Connect Dates and Topics: All students are invited to come join Ms. Moore in the Counselor Connect monthly sessions. We will be guest speaking coming to discussing the following topics each month and students will engage in hands on activities during the sessions

• Monday, March 6  (Physical Health Session )

• Monday, April 3  (Healthy Nutrition Session )

Candy Grams: The WECIB PTSA and Student Council are organizing candy grams for Valentine's Day! We would appreciate your help to get donations for the candy we need. Here is the link to the Signup Genius where you can sign up to donate. The proceeds from these candy grams will help the PTSA organize fun events in the future. Please send all donations with your students as soon as you have them, with all donations due by Tuesday, January 31st. Students can turn donations into the front office with a label of the name listed on this signup genius. Thank you for your donations!

Women’s Lacrosse Tryouts: Green Hope High School is hosting tryouts for women’s lacrosse on February 13 & 14 from 2:40-4:40 at the GHHS athletic field. Requirements for tryouts are completed DragonFly, mouthguard, googles, and cleats. Please contact Coach Alex Schafer with any questions (aaschaffer@wcpss.net).
