Wake Early College of Information & Biotechnologies is proud to have a robust Business Alliance that brings together leaders from local businesses, educators, and students to build meaningful connections between the classroom and the workplace. Our Business Alliance provides a dynamic partnership between business professionals in the community and our school, fostering career readiness and supporting students as they develop essential skills for the workplace.
Our Business Alliance is vital to creating real-world learning opportunities for our students. Business Alliance members collaborate closely with educators to offer input on curriculum development, organize work-based learning experiences, and connect students with mentors. These partnerships allow students to engage in internships, job shadowing, mock interviews, guest speaking events, and field trips, all of which contribute to their career preparation and employability skills.
The Business Alliance also helps with several key events each year, including professional days, career awareness seminars, student presentations and job skills workshops. Through these events, our Alliance partners share valuable insights, advice, and feedback on career opportunities in information and biotechnologies, STEM fields, and other high-demand industries.
We invite local businesses and industry professionals to join our Business Alliance and help shape the future workforce. For more information on becoming a Business Alliance partner, please contact Stacy Baxley at sbaxley@wcpss.net.
