Dear Parents,
Thank you to the PTA for all that you do to support our staff. The food treats from the various grade levels have been incredible, and the food at the staff meetings have been perfect! Thank you to the Foundation for facilitating with me the Roundtable Conversations for parent feedback. Thank you to the parent team who is working tirelessly to prepare for Laps for Lacy and other teams preparing for other end of year experiences. Lacy is lucky to have such a wonderful supportive community!
We have a large collection of sweaters and coats that are part of our lost and found. We have left the two racks in the hallway for weeks but have now moved them out on our front porch. Please stop by to see if any of these clothes belong to your family between 7:45-3:30 p.m. We will donate whatever is left on Friday to Note in the Pocket.
I wish you all a wonderful Spring Break! We look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Monday, April 1st.
Be sure to click on the Lacy PTA and Foundation information link HERE!
Grateful for you,
Sherri Miller

CONCIOUS DISCIPLINE TIP
Often, we release our power by allowing others’ behaviors to impact us. Conscious Discipline teaches us the Q.T.I.P method and reminds us to “quit taking it personal” when a child’s (or adult’s) behavior is activating us. When we feel elevated, it is a great time to take a deep breath, pause, and remember this behavior is a call for help!
MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE
Just a reminder that we stop early check outs at 2:30 p.m. Please make sure you are here by 2:30 p.m. to check out your student.
If students arrive on campus after 8:30 am, please come to the door and sign your child in tardy with the QR code. Students should not be coming in after 8:30 a.m. without an adult checking them in.
If you have a change of address or new phone number, please contact Emily Spooney at espooney@wcpss.net
SAFETY UPDATES Here is a link to our Lacy Protocols for Families to better understand our structures and routines to ensure that every child is safe and learning in our building. The district is using the latest CDC guidelines for COVID: Covid-19 Information
This is just a reminder that students need to have their phone and Smart watches on Airplane Mode and placed in their bookbag for the day.
