Principal's Message

  • Dear Parents,

It has been such a joy, honor and privilege to serve as the principal of Lacy Elementary for the last 4 ½ years. I have loved getting to know your children and have so appreciated the love and support you have provided this incredible community. Thank you for the ongoing appreciation you have showed the staff through the years and the generosity you have given to PTA and the Foundation. So many of you are working hard to make all of the events and activities happen that all students enjoy. So many of you are working hard to ensure we have the money to fund all of the extra positions here. Many of you have found ways to volunteer in classrooms, attend field trips, and provide food each month for staff. Thank you also for the support you have shown me during my time here. This is one very special place, a School Family, and my heart is full of incredible memories! THANK YOU!!

To ensure that your child does not experience summer learning loss, please encourage your child to read at least 20 minutes each day (you read to them, them read to you, or your child just curl up with a good book by themselves). It would be great to encourage them to chart their pages read on the Radical Reader form!

    Happy summer!

    Grateful for you,

    Sherri Miller
