Principal Message
Please mark your calendar for our upcoming Curriculum and Connections evening on March 7th. We will start with a PTA meeting and then parents will be able to attend a session on Conscious Discipline (two presentations) and also float in classrooms to explore curricular resources/information. (More information coming about this evening).
If your child has a science project that has not been picked up yet from the stage, please plan to get it by the end of the day on Thursday. Projects will be thrown out tomorrow afternoon if not picked up as we need the stage.
Be sure to click on the Lacy PTA and Foundation information link HERE. The Lacy Foundation needs your help! They have extended the sponsorship deadline to TODAY! Sponsorships are a bulk of the funds and are critical to the budget to fund our 15 teaching positions. These positions are not possible without the generous donations of our school community. Every and any amount helps. You can donate with cash or check by completing this form and return with your donation to your child's teacher in an envelope marked " The Lacy Foundation" or with a credit card through our secure Event Gives online platform.
Grateful for you,
Sherri Miller

MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE
If students arrive on campus after 8:30 am, please come to the door and sign your child in tardy with the QR code. Students should not be coming in after 8:30 a.m. without an adult checking them in.
All WCPSS laptops will stay at school so students can use them for educational purposes during the school day and during assessments. When students are using their device, we are asking students to refrain from having food or their water bottle at their desk. Spills are happening and devices are impacted.
If you have a change of address or new phone number, please contact Emily Spooney at espooney@wcpss.net

This is just a reminder that students need to have their phone and Smart watches on Airplane Mode and placed in their bookbag for the day.
CONCIOUS DISCIPLINE TIP
When we attribute Postivie Intent to a child’s behavior, we are able to stay calm and help calm our children.
We send children the message that their inner core and their essence are good enough.
We also send the message that their choices of behavior are not helpful.
With this frame as a backdrop, most children are willing and motivated to learn a new skill, comply with adult commands, or choose a more appropriate response.
