Share your input about Relief Grant Funding

WCPSS is seeking input from its stakeholders to help determine how it should potentially spend additional federal dollars over the next several years to address unfinished learning and COVID-19 recovery.

Take the survey here. Participants should complete the survey no later than July 9.

The American Rescue Plan signed into law in March included $122 billion in Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds for school districts across the country. This marks the single largest investment in federal education in the nation’s history. WCPSS has been approved to receive a portion of that funding. This survey will provide valuable insight into our community’s funding needs.

Please note that ESSER III funding is a one-time grant. Districts are advised to prioritize one-time purchases or spending over the several years of the grant that will not have an adverse effect on future budget years after the grant ends.

An initial draft of our plan for ESSER III funds will be shared with families in July 2021 and will continue to be updated throughout the term of the grant which extends through 2024.
