May 5th WFMS Family Message

Good afternoon WFMS families,

Below are the updates and announcements from WFMS this week.

2024-25 School Year Student Intent Form (Rising 7th and 8th graders)

As we conclude the 23-24 school year, we are already beginning to make preparations for the 24-25 school year.  We are asking all families of current 6th and 7th grade students to complete a brief form regarding student intent for the 24-25 school year.  We recognize many families may have plans to relocate or have a choice option which may impact your student’s enrollment with us.  This is not an official enrollment or withdrawal, but does help us with planning.  Please assist us by completing THIS FORM. If you have multiple students, please fill the form out for each student.

Panorama Family Survey

If you have not already done so, please complete this family survey. Your feedback will provide us with valuable information as we continually work to improve our school.

EOG Testing Dates

For your reference, our EOG schedule is outlined below in the flier.  Please plan to have your students at school on time and avoid any medical appointments or absences on these dates.

Athletics

Attention rising 9th graders, area high schools will be hosting information sessions in May.  Review the information in the flier below regarding specific dates, times, and locations.

Spirit Week: Let’s show some school spirit by participating in Teacher Appreciation Spirit Week and let our teachers know how much we appreciate what they do.

8th Grade End of Year Events

Parents of 8th grade students, please save the date of June 7th for your students' promotion ceremony.  Doors will open at 5:15pm and the ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00pm.  The event will be held in our gymnasium and to comply with fire code regulations each student will receive only two tickets for the event.  For those with larger families we will be setting up a live stream so that others can still see the ceremony even if they cannot attend in person.

3-Year High School Graduation Option

Please visit THIS LINK for a letter informing you about a new, 3-year graduation option for rising 9th grade students.  A direct link to the presentation can be found HERE.
