2nd quarter report cards

Report cards were sent home with all students on Friday. We hope that you and your child got a chance to celebrate all of their progress and hard work. If you have any questions and/or if you would like to schedule a conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

 

Book Fair

Save the Date- The Book Fair is coming to Banks Road from Friday, February 21st to Friday, February 28th. Family Night is on Tuesday, February 25th, from 5 PM to 7 PM, so be sure to mark your calendars. Learn more about the book fair here:

Book Fair Decorating and Set up - We're excited for the book fair, and we'd love your help! The PTA needs help with decorating starting 2/17 to turn the library and other rooms into a snowy wonderland - because Reading is SNOW Much Fun! Love the Bus week is February 10-14

We are celebrating bus driver appreciation week and we want to show our drivers some love and support! Please encourage your child to write a note, draw a picture, or make a card for their bus drivers to show their appreciation!

 

Library volunteers needed

The Banks Road Media Center needs volunteers to help with shelving! Our trailblazers are hard at work reading so many books--which means there are so many books to put back on the shelf! This could be a great  opportunity for any high schoolers who need service hours. If you're interested, please email our librarian, Laura Lumb, at llumb@wcpss.net

 

Fuquay Varina Next Gen Entrepreneur Day

Calling all student entrepreneurs! The Next Gen Entrepreneur Day will be a designated signature event from the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce for our entrepreneurial youth; ages 7-17. These youth will have the opportunity to sell their product, or advertise their service. Awards will be given for excellence in customer service, stellar marketing, and also best business potential! We are currently gathering information to lead our coordination of this event. The PTA is looking for volunteers! The PTA hosts events throughout the year, and there are so many ways to help make Banks a fun environment for everyone. We are a supportive, encouraging group of parents who provide support for teachers and students - through funding school supplies, providing teacher lunches, putting on large fall and spring parties, a gift drive, and any other program that will provide opportunities for ALL Banks students. Feria del Libro

Decoración y montaje de la feria del libro: ¡Estamos emocionados por la feria del libro y nos encantaría contar con su ayuda! La PTA necesita ayuda con la decoración a partir del 17 de febrero para convertir la biblioteca y otras salas en un paraíso nevado, ¡porque leer es NIEVE, muy divertido! La instalación de la Feria del Libro comenzará el jueves 19 de febrero justo después de la entrega. Si está disponible para ayudar, comuníquese con bankingptapresident10225@gmail.com.

 

La semana Love the Bus es del 10 al 14 de febrero

¡Estamos celebrando la semana de agradecimiento a los conductores de autobuses y queremos mostrarles a nuestros conductores algo de amor y apoyo! ¡Por favor anime a su hijo a escribir una nota, hacer un dibujo o hacer una tarjeta para los conductores de autobús para mostrar su agradecimiento!

 

Se necesitan voluntarios para la biblioteca

¡El Banks Road Media Center necesita voluntarios para ayudar con las estanterías! Nuestros pioneros están trabajando arduamente leyendo tantos libros, ¡lo que significa que hay tantos libros para volver a colocar en el estante! Esta podría ser una gran oportunidad para cualquier estudiante de secundaria que necesite horas de servicio. Día del emprendedor de próxima generación de Fuquay Varina

¡Llamando a todos los estudiantes emprendedores! El Día del Emprendedor de Próxima Generación será un evento exclusivo designado por la Cámara de Comercio de Fuquay-Varina para nuestra juventud emprendedora; edades 7-17. Estos jóvenes tendrán la oportunidad de vender su producto o publicitar su servicio. ¡Se otorgarán premios por la excelencia en el servicio al cliente, el marketing estelar y también el mejor potencial comercial! Actualmente estamos recopilando información para liderar nuestra coordinación de este evento.
