Welcome back, Trailblazers! We hope you had a fun and relaxing track out and that your student is ready to jump into the 4^th quarter with focus and excitement! We only have 46 student days left of the school year, so let's finish strong! We can't wait to see our student back on Monday, April 22nd!

24-25 teacher placements- feedback is welcome!

As we begin to look towards the 24-25 school year, we will take many factors into consideration to ensure that each child is placed into a learning environment that is the right fit for them- both academically and socially. While it is not possible to honor requests for specific teachers, we do welcome your input into the process. Feedback will be accepted until June 2nd. Please email Dr. Simmons at ssimmons@wcpss.net with any input you would like to share regarding the following parameters:

1. Please list the characteristics of a teacher that you feel your child learns best from (i.e. nurturing/motherly or firm/structured)- please DO NOT list specific teacher names.

2. Please list any other factors I may need to consider

Additionally, it is important to know exactly how many students are returning and/or leaving. Please take this brief survey to let us know your plans so we can make sure we hire the correct amount of staff! 

Administrative Professionals and Assistant Principal appreciation week

This week we are celebrating administrative professionals' week and Assistant Principal appreciation week. Thank you to the wonderful Ms. Jamie, Ms. Traci, and Ms. Terri in the front office and Assistant Principals Ms. Leis and Mr. Hubbard.

3rd quarter Parent/Teacher conferences 

Oftentimes during conferences, parents ask “how can I help my child be successful in school?” The answer to that is as simple as the ABC’s

A- attendance. Students must attend school regularly/on-time/and stay all day

B-behavior. Talk to your Trailblazer about how they can show their BANKS BEST everyday

C- completion of work. Check in with the teacher to make sure your child is getting their work done and giving it their best effort

‘S- skills. Ask your teacher what skills you can help reinforce at home. Reading together every night is critical for success!

¡Bienvenidos de nuevo, pioneros! Esperamos que haya tenido una pista divertida y relajante y que su estudiante esté listo para saltar al 4^th trimestre con concentración y emoción! Solo nos quedan 46 días estudiantiles del año escolar, ¡así que terminemos fuertes! ¡Estamos ansiosos por ver a nuestro estudiante de regreso el lunes 22 de abril!

24-25 colocaciones docentes: ¡sus comentarios son bienvenidos!

A medida que comenzamos a mirar hacia el año escolar 24-25, tomaremos en consideración muchos factores para garantizar que cada niño sea ubicado en un ambiente de aprendizaje que sea el adecuado para ellos, tanto académica como socialmente. Esta semana celebramos la semana de los profesionales administrativos y la semana de agradecimiento al subdirector. Gracias a la maravillosa Sra. Jamie, Sra. Traci y Sra. Terri en la oficina principal y a los subdirectores Sra. Leis y Sr. Hubbard.

Encuesta panorámica para padres de WCPSS

Nos encantaría recibir sus comentarios para ayudarnos a crecer, así que por favor. realice esta encuesta. La encuesta estará abierta hasta el 17 de mayo.

3er trimestre conferencias de padres y profesores

A menudo, durante las conferencias, los padres preguntan "¿cómo puedo ayudar a mi hijo a tener éxito en la escuela?" La respuesta es tan simple como el ABC.

'S-habilidades. Pregúntale a tu maestro qué habilidades puedes ayudar a reforzar en casa. ¡Leer juntos todas las noches es fundamental para el éxito!
