Happy Sunday, Trailblazers! We hope you all had a great weekend.

 

EOG retesting

Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will take the EOG state test at the end of this school year.  Should your child meet the criteria for our EOG Remediation and Readministration program, you will receive an invitation for your child to attend the retesting days on June 29th and June 30th. Transportation will be provided, and breakfast and lunch will be available.

 

Teacher placements for 23-24- feedback is welcome

As we begin to look towards the 23-24 school year, we will take many factors into consideration to ensure that each child is placed into a learning environment that is the right fit for them- both academically and socially. While it is not possible to honor requests for specific teachers, we do welcome your input into the process. Feedback will be accepted until June 2nd. Please email Ms. Simmons at ssimmons@wcpss.net with any input you would like to share regarding the following parameters:

 

  1. Please list the characteristics of a teacher that you feel your child learns best from (i.e. nurturing/motherly or firm/structured)- please DO NOT list specific teacher names.
  2. Please list any other factors I may need to consider

 

23-24 intent to return

As we work to make sure we have the correct number of classes at each grade level next year, it is imperative that we know if your child will/will not be returning to Banks Road. Please take this short survey (must take it more than once if you have multiple children) if your child is in grades K-4. Current 5th graders do not need to take it. Thank you!

 

EOG proctors needed

EOG testing will be here before we know it (June 20, 21, 22) and we will need volunteers to assist with proctoring. Please review the available time slots and click on the box(es) to sign up. You may choose as many as you wish.  Remember you MUST complete the required volunteer registration & background check in the office (and be approved) prior to testing.  Email Mrs. Dana at dsizemore@wcpss.net if you have questions concerning how to register for volunteering or to check your status.

Field Day-

It is the time of year to start planning for Field Day at Banks Road. This year, Field Day will take place on Friday, June 2nd. Field Day for grades K-2 will take place from 9:45-11:45. Field Day for grades 3-5 will take place from 1:00-3:00. This is an event that cannot occur without the help of the entire Banks Road community. We will need numerous volunteers to help run the many different events we are planning for Field Day. Volunteers must be approved by WCPSS. You can sign up by following this link.

Reevaluación de EOG

Alumnos de 3º, 4º y 5º el los grados tomarán la prueba estatal EOG al final de este año escolar. Si su hijo cumple con los criterios para nuestro programa de recuperación y readministración de EOG, recibirá una invitación para que su hijo asista a los días de reevaluación el 29 de junio. el y 30 de junio. Se proporcionará transporte y habrá desayuno y almuerzo disponibles.

 

Colocaciones de maestros para 23-24- comentarios son bienvenidos

A medida que comenzamos a mirar hacia el año escolar 23-24, tomaremos en consideración muchos factores para garantizar que cada niño sea ubicado en un entorno de aprendizaje adecuado para ellos, tanto académica como socialmente. Mientras no es posible cumplir con las solicitudes de maestros específicos, Damos la bienvenida a su entrada en el proceso. Se aceptarán comentarios hasta el 2 de junio. 23-24 intención de volver

Mientras trabajamos para asegurarnos de tener la cantidad correcta de clases en cada nivel de grado el próximo año, es imperativo que sepamos si su hijo regresará o no a Banks Road. Por favor tome esta encuesta corta (debe tomarlo más de una vez si tiene varios hijos) si su hijo está en los grados K-4. Actual 5 el los calificadores no necesitan tomarlo. ¡Gracias!

 

Se necesitan supervisores de EOG

Las pruebas de EOG estarán aquí antes de que nos demos cuenta (20, 21 y 22 de junio) y necesitaremos voluntarios para ayudar con la supervisión. Por favor revise el franjas horarias disponibles y haga clic en la(s) casilla(s) para registrarse. Puede elegir tantos como desee. Recuerde que DEBE completar el registro de voluntario y la verificación de antecedentes en la oficina (y ser aprobado) antes de la prueba. Envíe un correo electrónico a la Sra. Dana a dsizemore@wcpss.net si tiene preguntas sobre cómo registrarse para ser voluntario o verificar su estado.

Dia de campo-

Es la época del año para comenzar a planificar el Field Day en Banks Road. Este año, el Field Day se llevará a cabo el viernes 2 de junio. El día de campo para los grados K-2 se llevará a cabo de 9:45 a 11:45. El día de campo para los grados 3-5 se llevará a cabo de 1:00 a 3:00. Este es un evento que no puede ocurrir sin la ayuda de toda la comunidad de Banks Road. Necesitaremos numerosos voluntarios para ayudar a ejecutar los diferentes eventos que estamos planeando para el Día de Campo. Los voluntarios deben ser aprobados por WCPSS.
