Bus driver shortages
As shared in the news, WCPSS is impacted by a bus driver shortage. This may result in a route not having a driver available and the students needing to be brought/picked up in carpool . When we receive notification of this, we immediately send a text, dojo, and post on Facebook. If you are not receiving these messages- please contact Ms. Blankenship at lblankenship@wcpss.net to get connected.
FVPD fundraiser for the Special Olympics (updated from last week!)
The FVPD fundraiser for Special Olympics has been extended to 10/31. Please help Banks Road to win the school competition by clicking here to donate- BACK TO SCHOOL FOR INCLUSION. Our school is in the LEAD!
Are you a military-connected family? (repeated from last week)
In an effort to ensure that the unique needs of military-connected students are met, state law requires that schools collect information on military-connected students. The goal is to help accommodate these students by providing them with support and consistency when their parents are deployed, when they are transitioning between schools, and at other pivotal times during their academic career. If you are a military-connected family, please email lblankenship@wcpss.net and ask for a military family form. Complete and return the form to Ms. Blankenship. The deadline is November 11th.
Fall Festival-
The PTA Fall Festival is this Friday, September 30th from 6:00-8:00 PM on the field behind the school. We hope to see you there!
Track out-
Our first track out will start on Saturday, October 1st and will go through Monday, October 24th. Students return on Tuesday, October 25th. Now that we are a single-track school, this is for ALL students.

Escasez de conductores de autobús Como se compartió en las noticias, WCPSS se ve afectado por la escasez de conductores de autobuses. Esto puede resultar en una ruta que no tenga un conductor disponible y que los estudiantes deban ser traídos/recogidos en vehículos compartidos. Cuando recibimos una notificación de esto, inmediatamente enviamos un mensaje de texto, un dojo y una publicación en Facebook. Si no recibe estos mensajes, comuníquese con la Sra. Blankenship en lblankenship@wcpss.net para conectarse. Recaudación de fondos de FVPD para las Olimpiadas Especiales (¡actualizado desde la semana pasada!) La recaudación de fondos de FVPD para Olimpiadas Especiales se ha extendido hasta el 31/10. (repetido de la semana pasada) En un esfuerzo por garantizar que se satisfagan las necesidades únicas de los estudiantes relacionados con el ejército, la ley estatal exige que las escuelas recopilen información sobre los estudiantes relacionados con el ejército. El objetivo es ayudar a acomodar a estos estudiantes brindándoles apoyo y consistencia cuando sus padres están asignados, cuando están en transición entre escuelas y en otros momentos cruciales durante su carrera académica. Si es una familia relacionada con militares, envíe un correo electrónico a lblankenship@wcpss.net y solicite una forma de familia militar . Complete y devuelva el formulario a la Sra. Blankenship. La fecha límite es el 11 de noviembre. Festival de Otoño- El Festival de Otoño de la PTA es este viernes 30 de septiembre el de 6:00 a 8:00 p. m. en el campo detrás de la escuela. ¡Esperamos verte ahí! Rastrear- Nuestra primera pista comenzará el sábado 1 de octubre. S t y se prolongará hasta el lunes 24 de octubre. Los estudiantes regresan el martes 25 de octubre. Ahora que somos una escuela de vía única, esto es para TODOS los estudiantes.
