Remote learning survey
As I have said multiple times over the last few weeks, we appreciate your support and patience as we have engaged in opening school this year in a whole new way for us all. Our teachers are working incredibly hard to provide the appropriate instruction and support for your child(ren) to be successful in this most unusual start. Below is a link to a short (8 questions) survey that we would appreciate you taking the time to complete. The survey will provide us valuable feedback about your child’s current schedule and workload. While we were given some very specific directives from the district and DPI regarding online instruction, we want to be sure we are working within those guidelines to provide the most appropriate support that we can. We will use the information from the survey to see what is working well for you, as well as where we might be able to improve some things currently in place. If you have a child in more than one grade level at our school, we would appreciate it if you could complete the survey for each child, as we are collecting the data by grade level.

Positivity Project
Our Positivity Project trait this week is TEAMWORK. Talk to your Trailblazer about ways that your family can incorporate TEAMWORK into your household.
Library book checkout
Starting Tuesday, September 8th, parents may pick up library books placed on hold by students between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If your child has a library book ready to be picked up, you will receive an email notification from our library system, Follett Destiny. Just come to the front door of the school during those times, ring the bell, and staff will bring the books out to you. Books can be returned to a cart that will be outside of the front doors daily. Free Breakfast and Lunch for All Students
Students in all grade levels can receive a free breakfast and lunch from an operating location until December 31*. Please visit https://www.wcpss.net/food for a list of operating sites. Students are not required to visit their assigned school and do not have to be present to receive meals. The curbside meal service will operate Monday through Friday from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Students will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost! No student ID number required to receive meals. *Or until funding is depleted.

Encuesta de aprendizaje remoto
Como he dicho varias veces durante las últimas semanas, agradecemos su apoyo y paciencia ya que nos hemos comprometido a abrir la escuela este año de una manera completamente nueva para todos nosotros. Nuestros maestros están trabajando arduamente para brindar la instrucción y el apoyo adecuados para que sus hijos tengan éxito en este comienzo tan inusual. A continuación se muestra un enlace a una breve encuesta (8 preguntas) que le agradeceríamos que se tomara el tiempo de completar. La encuesta nos proporcionará comentarios valiosos sobre el horario y la carga de trabajo actuales de su hijo. Si bien recibimos algunas directivas muy específicas del distrito y el DPI con respecto a la instrucción en línea, queremos estar seguros de que estamos trabajando dentro de esas directrices para brindar el apoyo más apropiado que podamos. Usaremos la información de la encuesta para ver qué funciona bien para usted, así como dónde podríamos mejorar algunas de las cosas actualmente vigentes. Si tiene un niño en más de un nivel de grado en nuestra escuela, le agradeceríamos si pudiera completar la encuesta para cada niño, ya que estamos recopilando datos por nivel de grado.

Proyecto de positividad
Nuestro rasgo del Proyecto Positividad de esta semana es el TRABAJO EN EQUIPO. Habla a tú Pionero sobre las formas en que su familia puede incorporar el TRABAJO EN EQUIPO en su hogar.
Salida de libros de la biblioteca
A partir del martes 8 de septiembre, los padres pueden recoger los libros de la biblioteca puestos en espera por los estudiantes entre las 9:00 am y las 3:00 pm los martes y jueves. Si su hijo tiene un libro de la biblioteca listo para ser recogido, recibirá una notificación por correo electrónico de nuestro sistema de biblioteca, Follett Destiny. Solo ven a la puerta principal de la escuela durante esas veces, toque el timbre y el personal le traerá los libros. Los libros se pueden devolver a un carrito que estará afuera de la puerta principal todos los días. ¡Feliz lectura!
Desayuno y almuerzo gratis para todos los estudiantes
Los estudiantes en todos los niveles de grado pueden recibir desayuno y almuerzo gratis desde un lugar de operaciones hasta el 31 de diciembre *. Visite https://www.wcpss.net/food para obtener una lista de los sitios operativos. Los estudiantes no están obligados a visitar la escuela asignada y no tienen que estar presentes para recibir las comidas. El servicio de comidas en la acera operará de lunes a viernes de 10:45 am a 12:45 pm ¡Los estudiantes recibirán desayuno y almuerzo sin costo! No se requiere un número de identificación de estudiante para recibir comidas. * O hasta que se agote la financiación.
