Thank you to all families who attended our first PTA Welcome Back Picnic. What a great turnout and even greater time! Families enjoyed the food trucks of Mr. A’s Beignets, Dang Good Dogs, Las Gringas Tacos, and Hibachi Express, listened the sounds of DJ Paul Ferralez sponsored by
and even enjoyed a free ice pop courtesy of the PTA.
Additionally, all were able to view and enjoy the new playground shade equipment. Thanks again for your generosity during our Fun Run last Spring, which made that possible.

The Teacher's Corner
Close your eyes. Imagine a world without the arts. No music. No paintings. No theatre. No dancing. Not a pretty picture is it?We are lucky to have an organization in Wake County that works to make sure the arts remain alive and well. United Arts Council of Raleigh (UAC) supports 30 arts organizations as well as programs in Wake County public, private and charter schools.
In the past 3 years Oakview has hosted a variety performers and performances with every student being able to attend thanks to our Owlsome PTA and generous support from the UAC.
The UAC is conducting it's annual fundraiser through October 18 to ensure that schools like Oakview are able to continue to offer children access to a variety artists right at school.
Please consider donating to help keep the arts STRONG in Wake County. Any support is greatly appreciated!
