Career Development

• Hi, I'm Ms. Elkins and I am excited about being the Career Development Coordinator for Fuquay-Varina Middle School! Middle school students are offered exploratory courses in business and information technologies, life skills, agricultural systems, and career decisions. I believe great things happen when students can make school-to-work connections! 

  As your CDC, I am here to assist students with career planning and exploration. It is my goal to help you make informed and thoughtful decisions about your future. I am looking forward to collaborating with the students, parents, educators and businesses in the Fuquay-Varina community. Together we can prepare our children to be productive citizens who will function successfully in a global society.

  Just a little about me:

  I joined Fuquay-Varina Middle School in 2019.  I am a certified Career Development Coordinator as well as a Global Career Development Facilitator.  I have spent my career teaching Business Education, Middle Grades Math, Academically and Intellectually Gifted, as well as Reading.  I am also a National Board certified teacher.  I am originally from West Virginia.  I currently reside in Willow Spring with my husband, Timothy, and daughter, Annabelle.  My family and I enjoy fishing, volleyball, and traveling.
