The mission of the English Language Learner (ELL) Program at FVMS is to ensure that all English Learners receive equitable access to rigorous, standards-based language instruction and meaningful learning experiences.
If a student is designated as an English Learner, they receive support in a variety of ways depending on their language needs.
Students may:
-be enrolled in an ESL class,
-be placed in a co-taught class with an English language specialist
-receive some in-class support periodically
-have check-ins with the English language specialist about their language progression and goalsThis website houses overall information about the ELL Program and ESL Class: ELL Program at FVMS
Every year, all identified ELLs take the ACCESS test. This test assesses their progression in the English language. More information can be found here: ACCESS Testing
