My father was in the army, which gave me the opportunity to live in Germany and Panama. Weekend trips made it possible to visit Europe's famous locations and meet the people. I began my career as a computer programmer. When my daughter started school I became a volunteer. Combining my programming and accounting skills, gave me the chance to work for WCPSS and also be a parent volunteer. I married my high school sweetheart, David. We plan to travel through out the U.S. when we retire. We have a daughter, Sandi. She lives locally in a house her father and grandfather built. We enjoy going to craft fairs together.

I was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up on Long Island. We moved to Fuquay 10 years ago and never looked back. My husband and I have 3 daughters. Our oldest Taylor is 24 (she lives in NY with her mom), Katelyn is 14 and Jayna is almost 12. These girls are definitely my greatest accomplishment. We also have two dogs. Bandit is our old man at 12 years old and Jolene is 4. I love to read. I started reading at a very young age and never stopped. I'm obsessed with the beach and anything and everything DISNEY!

Ms. Everett
I am a proud Wake County native and graduate from Wake County Public School System. I am originally from Apex, NC. This is my first year as an Assistant Principal, and I am going into my eighth year in education. Previously I was Principal Intern at Washington GT Elementary, a magnet school in downtown Raleigh. Prior to Washington, I taught sixth grade Social Studies & Language Arts at Moore Square Magnet Middle School, and fourth grade at Brier Creek Elementary. I had a short stint abroad, teaching high school Social Studies in South Korea. I greatly value growth, connection and service. It is my hope to partner with parents and students to create the best learning environment for all of our Sea Turtles! In my spare time I enjoy exploring new places and restaurants around the Triangle, spending quality time with family and friends, and I love to run, walk and hike at the parks and local greenways. I look forward to partnering with you serving the South Lakes Elementary School family this year!
