African Appreciation Club
Purpose: Promote African culture, heritage, and education. We strive to provide a supportive space for
African and African-descended students to connect, share experiences, and celebrate their diverse backgrounds. All people are welcome 😊!

American Mathematics Competitions Club
Purpose: The purpose of the club is to participate in AMC (a paid competition) as well as various other free math competitions, such as the Duke Math Meet and Wake Tech Math competition. This club will help students learn probability, algebra, problem-solving, and critical thinking at a deeper level. They will also learn tips and tricks to solve math problems faster, which will help them in competitions and math class. Many find math to be tedious and boring, but we will make math fun and enjoyable while teaching important math skills that everyone should know.

Art Club
Purpose: A small club that hosts arts & craft activities as well as assist school and club-based activities with art needs. A chill and fun time with friends and classmates working on art related tasks.

Book Circle
Purpose: This club is a platform for students that enjoy literature to connect with others who share their enjoy. Members will be introduced to different genres of literature and are urged to build friendships.

Game Development Club
Purpose: To make video games that span from 2D to 3D, simple to complex, and chill to thrilling game categories. Developing video games builds an enthralling environment where academic subjects—English, Math, and Science—are used to bring to life animated creations that fulfill the game developer's wild imagination, such as sandboxes like Minecraft, action-packed platformers like Hollow Knight, and horror like Resident Evil. GameDev strives to guide its members through that fascinating process by using Godot as a tool to ultimately reach the pinnacle of satisfaction of creativity.

Girls in STEM
Purpose: The WECIB Girls In STEM club aims to empower, educate and prepare prospective women
in the STEM field. Girls In STEM plans to provide an insight on female experience in the
field, help women gain important networking and career skills, and to be a safe and fun place for both women and men.
How to Join: Anyone who fills out the form to be in this club will be an official member. You must attend at least 3 times a quarter. You must participate in at least 2 planned activities per year.

Hack Club
Purpose: Hack club is a student-led coding club where students build real projects and join a global network of makers and creators. The chapter exists to provide a welcoming space for students to explore coding and technology, encouraging creativity and self-driven learning through building projects.

Investment Club
Purpose: The Investment Club is going to be about introducing people to the Stock Market, how to get started on investing/creating a portfolio. It will also include the Council for Financial Education. This will include a stock market game challenge in the spring.

Purpose: The purpose of the Key Club is to develop student leadership through service to others. As part of Key Club International, the club empowers students to take initiative, act responsibly, and serve their school and local community through volunteerism.

Muslim Student Association (MSA)
Purpose: MSA strives to provide a space for Muslim students to feel supported and connected to their peers, and for non-Muslims to learn more about the beautiful religion. It is also important to note the MSA welcomes non-Muslim students with open arms as everyone is welcome to join in our activities regardless of their race, religion, or background.

National Honor Society
Purpose: To give practical meaning to the NHS standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
How to Join: 11th and 12th grade students with an unweighted GPA of 3.75 are invited to join in August.

National Technical Honor Society
Purpose: The WECIB NTHS chapter recognizes and rewards excellence in technology and workplace education. We meet monthly for activities that prepare you for post-secondary goals. Joining NTHS offers opportunities for scholarships, connections, and a community in IT, Biotech, and other technological fields.
How to Join: Applications are processed in September and March for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. You need a GPA that’s 3.5 or higher (unweighted) and at least 1 industry level credential/certification.

Public Speaking
Purpose: To help students in their tech focused high school journey by developing essential communication skills. The club specializes in helping members clearly articulate ideas, present complex information, and persuade various audiences—key abilities for success in the tech field. Through hands-on practice and collaboration, Public Speaking prepares future tech leaders to confidently share their innovations with the world.

Ready, Set, Code
Purpose: This club will be centered around the challenge Ready, Set, App hosted by NCBCE. The club members will form teams to develop a mobile app to solve a problem in the community or school. This is a great opportunity for students with an interest in STEM to take part in and develop skills in programming and teamwork.

Science Olympiad
Purpose: Science Olympiad will provide the opportunity to all students to grow their knowledge and gain essential skills. The main role of Science Olympiad will be for students to collaborate with one another in order to competitively test their knowledge.

Student Council Association
Purpose: A Student Council is a group of elected and volunteer students working together with an adult advisor within the framework of a constitution or bylaws to provide a means for student expression and assistance in school affairs and activities, give opportunities for student experience in leadership and encourage student / faculty / community relations.

Purpose: The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a competitive national organization for students engaged in STEM. TSA features 40 events allowing students to explore a variety of topics.

The Green Team
Purpose: The WECIB Green Team is a club focused on environmental science and sustainability. We aim to make WECIB more environmentally conscious & friendly by setting up a recycling system and spreading awareness through posters and our newsletter, The Leaflet!

Purpose: To educate members about civic participation, make positive changes in our community through public policy, and provide members with hands-on experience and proof that civic participation is important to our society.
