1. Fall Festival Tuesday (Students Only) - Behavior Incentive Celebration
   • As you know, our students work hard to demonstrate PRIDE behaviors to earn Lion Bucks and Classroom Dojo points. This Tuesday, students who have earned 100 Classroom Dojo points this quarter will participate in the Fall Festival during their specials time. During this time, they will participate in a variety of fun stations. 
   • Any student assigned to the Learning Lab or OSS on this day will not be able to participate.
   • Students who have not earned enough Classroom Dojo points will not be able to participate. These students will complete work normally in the media center. We have these incentive festivals each quarter, so they will have an opportunity to participate next quarter. 
2. Tuesday Costumes
   • All students may wear costumes on Tuesday. However, please follow the rules outlined below so Mr. Hill doesn't regret this!
   • No masks
   • No weapons or anything that looks like a weapon
   • No accessories that need to be carried around throughout the school day
3. New Teacher Websites - Canvas
   • In the coming weeks, teachers will be sending home information about Canvas, the new learning management system where each teacher's website will be located. Parents can sign up to be "observers" of teacher websites in order to view important course information. In order to sign up, please review the information HERE in English and HERE in Spanish. Please contact your child's teacher with questions. 
4. Trunk or Treat - Hosted by the YMCA - Saturday, 10/28
   • Come get some candy, view spooky car decorations, and have a ton of fun at the YMCA's 3rd annual Trunk or Treat! Trunk or Treat will be located at the Southeast Raleigh YMCA on Saturday, October 28th from 7-8:30 PM.

5. Club ROAR (Reaching Our Awesome Results) - After School Tutoring
   • We are hoping to start this program soon! Club ROAR is Southeast Raleigh Elementary School's after school program that provides intervention/enrichment to our wonderful students.  Club ROAR will operate 3 days of the week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week from 3:30-5:30 PM.  A snack will be provided for all students, and transportation can be requested if needed.  If you are interested, please fill out the survey HERE.
6. Carpool Reminder
   • Please make sure you are using the official carpool lane to drop off students in the morning. We are not allowed to use the YMCA parking lot for carpool traffic. Please make sure you are stopping at the stop sign during carpool as well. We want to make sure everyone is safe!
7. Student Checkout in the Main Office
   • As a reminder, no student checkout is allowed after 2:30 PM each day due to our need to prevent disruptions to dismissal procedures. 
8. Volunteer With Us
   • If you want to be able to volunteer to chaperone field trips and help with events, please register as a volunteer using THIS LINK. It will take a few days for your volunteer application to be processed. We appreciate your support!
