I feel blessed to be paid to have fun: teaching is my calling, my hobby, and my passion!  For 20 years I have taught in public and international schools on three continents.  I hold a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and I am a National Board Certified Teacher.  My professional accomplishments include:

    • Serving as the North Carolina Association of French Teachers Vice President (March 2020-present)
    • Building the French program at Fuquay-Varina High School to include level 4 and AP classes (2014-2020)
    • Curriculum writing, corporate curriculum consulting, grant writing, instructional coaching, evaluating National Board portfolio entries, and presenting at professional workshops
    • Teaching English, French, and Spanish and serving as K-12 Curriculum Coordinator at Faith International Academy, Philippines (2007-2014)
    • Teaching grades 7-12 in Cameroon, Africa with SIL International (2004-2006)
    • Education Coordinator for families homeschooling in remote African villages

I am so excited to help launch the brand new French program at DDMMS and looks forward to modeling our school's core values (Be Present!  Believe!  Show Kindness!  Own It!  Persevere!) for my students.  I look forward to sharing my knowledge, creativity, and passion for other cultures in my classroom every day!
