My name is Susan Guthrie.  I am married with one adult son.  I enjoy reading, taking long walks, and going on trips to the mountains and beaches of North Carolina with my family.  I graduated from Barton College in Wilson, N.C., with a degree in Elementary Education with K-6 certification. I have 28 years of teaching experience with most of those years in third grade. Third grade is a challenging and fun grade to teach! I enjoy teaching all subjects, but my favorite subjects are science and math.  I look forward to working with my students and their families this school year.
