Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) is the practice of assigning a student to a higher-grade level than is typical, given the student's age, for the purpose of providing access to appropriately challenging learning opportunities. SSA allows students to show mastery of the content of a course without having taken the course. For example, a parent could nominate his/her child to skip a grade level of content in either Language Arts OR Mathematics
The nomination window for Single Subject Acceleration is open now through the 10th day of school. If you nominated your child prior to remote learning during the spring of the 2019 - 2020 school year you do not need to nominate them again. Testing will take place between the 11th and 30th days of school.
