School Improvement Plan
An effective School Improvement Plan (SIP) contributes to overall school performance by establishing an understanding of the "big picture" of a school's current state. The primary focus of the SIP is on student achievement. Other areas of reflection include instructional practices, staff and student demographics, perception, and program data as referred in a comprehensive needs assessment.
The Pleasant Grove School Improvement Team (SIT) engages in collaborative work among staff members, parents, and community volunteers to implement the WCPSS Strategic Vision for student learning. As part of this work the members of the school improvement team gather data and compile a yearly comprehensive needs assessment for the school, write SMART goals and develop annual goals for student academic, social/emotional, and behavioral progress.
Wake County Public School System will provide a relevant and engaging education and will graduate students who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators and critical thinkers.
