Ms. Golden
Hi Leopards!
My name is Sarah Golden, and I am thrilled to be joining the Lead Mine Elementary community! For the past three years, I have had the joy of teaching first grade at Green Magnet Elementary here in Raleigh, and I am so excited to begin this new chapter as a second-grade teacher. I look forward to building strong connections with students, families, and colleagues as we learn and grow together.
I am a Raleigh native and a proud graduate of William Peace University, where I earned a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Inspired by my mother, a lifelong educator, I grew up volunteering in schools and summer camps, which sparked my passion for teaching and supporting young learners.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy crafting, traveling, and spending time with my family. I am also an avid animal lover! My students will hear a lot about my puppy, Benji, and meet our class pet turtle, Steve.
On weekends, you’ll usually find me painting—many of my portraits even make their way into our classroom to spark creativity.
I am truly looking forward to the opportunity to work with all of you and to make this school year an inspiring, joyful, and successful experience.
