I am so excited to be a Leopard this year. My family and I just moved to Raleigh in March, and we are really happy to be here. I taught in Texas for seven years, with my first three years in middle school and then most of my time in 5th grade. My undergraduate degree is in English and I have a masters in Curriculum and Instruction—all from Texas State University in San Marcos (Go Bobcats!) 

 

My husband and I have three lovely kiddos, ages 5, 2, and 5 months, and we love to travel, hike, visit parks, cook, read books, and have family movie nights together. 

 

I love being in education because I’m so passionate about learning and literacy, and watching students find their own passion and an excitement for personal growth brings me so much joy. I can’t wait to have a wonderful year with your Leopards!
