Mrs. Holly Shaw

Hi, I am so happy you have decided to visit the Wildwood Forest website. My name is Holly Shaw. I was named principal of Wildwood in September of 2013. I am proud to say that I have lived in Raleigh since I was 5 years old, attending all WCPSS schools. Upon graduating for UNCW with a degree in Elementary Education, I returned home to become a teacher. I taught K-3 in various schools throughout Raleigh and the surrounding area before being awarded my Master of School Administration from UNC- Chapel Hill. I started as an administrator in 2008 at Timber Drive Elementary. Most recently I have been the assistant principal at Forest Pines Drive Elementary before joining the WWF family.

My family is very important to me. I have a husband who teaches and coaches Basketball at Sanderson High School and 2 children who are 16 and 19, oh and a kitty cat named Kure.

I have a passion for seeing all students succeed and believe that no matter how small the accomplishment, all students should be celebrated for working hard.

Mr. Ryan Emelle

Greetings. Welcome to the Wildwood Forest website. My name is Ryan S. Emelle. I am the Assistant Principal of Wildwood Forest and have been since December 1, 2014. I absolutely love it here.

I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. I went to Howard University in Washington, DC, where I attained my undergraduate degree in TV Productions and my Masters' degree in Early Childhood Education. I have taught Kindergarten, Second grade, Fourth grade, and Fifth grade. I last taught at Bugg Elementary back in 2014. From 2012-2014, I was in the Admin Program at Gardner-Webb University, which brings me to the present. This is my first Assistant Principal job.

My family is very important to me. My wife is an Instructional Resource Teacher at Alston Ridge ES, and our son is currently in middle school. Also, I am a die-hard New Orleans Saints fan, and there is no one that can change that. Who dat!

"Education is new currency of the 21st Century." I heard this quote years ago, and I immediately embraced it. Education is our path to anything we want to be in life.
